At the Bicentennial Commencement, Emily Warren Roebling was awarded the first posthumous honorary doctorate in Rensselaer's history, with actor Liz Wisan portraying her in the ceremony and at Colloquy and delivering remarks that were generated by an AI trained on her writings and historical archives. Aiden Drover-Mattinen and Tsubi Okada of the Rensselaer men's tennis team were named the respective Liberty League Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, as voted on by the conference's head coaches. In addition, Head Coach Jon Satkowski and Assistant Coach Stephane Legris earned the league's Coaching Staff of the Year award.
Four members of the Rensselaer women's ice hockey team have each signed professional contracts in a ceremony inside Houston Fieldhouse: Asiah Taylor-Walters is headed to Hungary to play for MAC Budapest, Isabelle Hardy has signed on with the EC Graz Huskies, and Taylor Zahirnyi and Meagan Byrum will both be joining the DEC Salzburg Eagles.
