Like the rest of the undergraduate Class of 2024, Erin Thomas will receive her bachelor’s degree from Rensselaer on May 18. Thomas, a biological neuroscience major, has chosen to attend a post-baccalaureate program at the National Institutes of Health before applying to graduate programs in neuroscience. It was the combination of a rigorous, wide-ranging curriculum and the opportunity to do advanced research that drew her to RPI in the first place.

Late last week, it was announced that 124 Rensselaer student-athletes were named to the Liberty League's All-Academic teams in their respective spring sports. In total, 1,113 student-athletes received All-Academic honors, marking the highest total for the spring season in the League's 29-year history.

Kamilia Nicolas ’24 thrives in high-pressure environments. A senior at Rensselaer, Nicolas was class president when she entered college in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, managing to lead the freshmen and work with the university administration through the then unknown territory. She also flourished as an intern in the New Jersey Assembly and the New York City Council. But planning the Capital Region's first-ever Youth Climate Career Summit has been her most challenging opportunity to date.

The thing that struck Luca Osborne '24 on his very first visit to RPI was the multidisciplinary approach to academics that seemed to permeate the entire campus. He couldn't wait to use the studios and facilities available to students on campus, and he got started as soon as he arrived.

Victory Abraham '24 has thrived at Rensselaer. Not only has he succeeded academically, but his achievements outside of the classroom have been equally meaningful. 

The Rensselaer football team and Head Coach Ralph Isernia have announced three additions to the coaching staff ahead of the 2024 season, with Kevin Billington, Sean Moore, and Pete Palczewski all set to join the Engineer's sideline. Billington and Moore will work on the defensive side of the ball as the respective Safeties and Defensive Line Coach, while Palczewski will instruct the Wide Receivers unit.
