2022-23 Athletic Department Awards Announced
The Rensselaer department of athletics year-end student-athlete awards for the 2022-23 season have been announced, and seven individuals have been recognized for their accomplishments.

It has been announced that the Rensselaer women's hockey team has added Ryan Gayso to its staff as Operations Coordinator. Gayso joins head coach Bryan Vines, and assistant coaches Tara Connolly, Jamie Hazelton, and Ben Murphy for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
The Rensselaer men's hockey team has added Liam Thrawl to its staff as the Director of Hockey Operations. Thrawl makes his second appearance with the Engineers, having served as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the 2022-23 season; he joins head coach Dave Smith on staff with Mathias Lange, Chuck Weber, and Karlis Zirnis for the remainder of the season.
Rensselaer football head coach Ralph Isernia was recently honored as he was inducted into the Sachem Senior High School Athletics Hall of Fame. Isernia was one of 17 new inductees in the 2023 Hall of Fame class, going in for his accomplishments in both football and baseball.
The Rensselaer women's hockey program had two student-athletes compete for their home countries this past week at the Five Nations Tournament in Falun, Sweden. Sophomore Nina Christoff and freshman Andrea Trnkova donned their nations' uniforms, with Christof suiting up for Germany and Trnkova representing Czechia.
