Order of the Engineer Ceremony | Oct. 15

Wednesday, October 15, 2025 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Come support senior engineering students as they take the oath of the Order of The Engineer, pledging to uphold standards and dignity of the engineering profession. Along with taking the oath, they will be receiving a ring as a reminder of their commitment. When wearing the ring, they will be recognized by other engineers as having pledged to be an ethical engineer.

CEE Fall Seminar Series - Dr. Zhibin Chen | Oct. 15

Date: Wednesday, October 15, 2025 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM - “Planning of Truck Platooning for Road-Network Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem”. Truck platooning, a linking technology of trucks on the highway, has gained enormous attention in recent years due to its benefits in energy and operation cost savings. However, most existing studies on truck platooning limit their focus on particular scenarios that each truck can serve only one customer demand and is thus with a specified origin.

Paulson and Carlton E. Lemke. The lecture will be held on October 15th, at 11:00 AM. and will feature a presentation titled "Kohn-Sham Density-Functional Theory: Perspectives on various inverse problems" by Dr. Michael Herbst, tenure-track assistant professor at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.
