TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's soccer team was dealt a narrow 1-0 defeat in its season opener this afternoon in ECAV Stadium.

GENESEO, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) field hockey team opened the 2025 season on the road at Geneseo on Friday, dropping a 2-0 decision to the Knights at College Stadium.

Fire evacuation drills will take place in residential buildings during the first two weeks of the fall semester. These unannounced drills are required by New York State Fire Code and provide residents an opportunity to practice safe evacuation procedures.

TROY, NY - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's basketball team, led by 11th year head coach Mark Gilbride, will welcome four freshmen to campus this fall. Noah Daniel, Kellen Driscoll, Zach Hart and Payne Wood all recently signed Division III Celebratory Forms in honor of their intentions to attend RPI and join the men's basketball program.

Lloyd Bauer '55 Endowed Head Coach Eric Lang have announced the addition of 19 newcomers ahead of the Engineers' 2025-26 campaign. This year's incoming class is comprised of ten freshmen and nine transfers, including two graduate students. The group features 10 forwards, seven defensemen, and two goaltenders, bringing a diverse blend of NCAA experience and junior success from leagues such as the USHL, BCHL, AJHL, NAHL, and OHL—as well as international competition from Europe's top junior circuits.

Due to Fall move-in, and with permission from Parking & Transportation, there will be a series of parking lot closures between August 19th and August 27th.

TROY, N.Y. – Three distinguished alumni of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's hockey program were officially inducted into the New York State Hockey Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025.  Graeme Townshend '89, Joe Juneau '91, and Matt Murley '02,were among 16 total honorees recognized during the annual induction ceremony held earlier this summer.
