Field Hockey, Soccer, and Cross Country Programs Begin 2025 Seasons this Weekend

TROY, N.Y. – The 2025 fall athletics season at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) officially gets underway this week, with six programs kicking off their campaigns between Friday, August 29 and Sunday, August 31. With five home games set to take place at ECAV Stadium and several others on the road, the Engineers are primed for a full opening weekend of action.

Men's Hockey Announces 2025-26 Newcomers

TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's hockey program and C. Lloyd Bauer '55 Endowed Head Coach Eric Lang have announced the addition of 19 newcomers ahead of the Engineers' 2025-26 campaign. This year's incoming class is comprised of ten freshmen and nine transfers, including two graduate students. The group features 10 forwards, seven defensemen, and two goaltenders, bringing a diverse blend of NCAA experience and junior success from leagues such as the USHL, BCHL, AJHL, NAHL, and OHL—as well as international competition from Europe's top junior circuits.

RPI Hockey Well Represented in New York State Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2025

TROY, N.Y. – Three distinguished alumni of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's hockey program were officially inducted into the New York State Hockey Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025.  Graeme Townshend '89, Joe Juneau '91, and Matt Murley '02,were among 16 total honorees recognized during the annual induction ceremony held earlier this summer.

Dr. Jennifer Pazour Named IISE Fellow in Recognition of Contributions to Industrial and Systems Engineering

The ISE Department is proud to announce that Dr. Jennifer Pazour has been named a Fellow of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE), one of the highest honors awarded by IISE. This prestigious recognition reflects Dr. Pazour’s sustained contributions to research, education, service, and leadership within the field of industrial and systems engineering. Her career centers around solving complex logistics and supply chain challenges through mathematical modeling and optimization.
