Date: Thursday, November 6, 2025 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Join the So.CA alumni chapter for session on getting started with a career in software engineering and development. Learn what to expect "day to day" in this career path, the different potential roles, and how things are changing. This will largely be a Q&A session with some initial remarks up front. Jeffrey Wen ’13 and Linjing Wen ’13G will lead the session in partnership with members of the CCPD.

In this session we'll review the many ways that Posit, the creators of RStudio, is supporting data analytics that tightly integrates popular LLMs. RPIrates is led by Dr. John S. Erickson, Dir. of Research Operations of the Rensselaer IDEA and Chief Instigator of RPIrates. Pizza and salad starts at 5:30p.
