CANTON, N.Y. - One of the top defensive teams in Division III, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) allowed just 11 points in the second half to force overtime, but St. Lawrence University prevailed by scoring all eight points in the extra session and defeating the Engineers 50-42 in the championship game of the Liberty League Tournament. The No. 2 seeded Saints improve to 19-7 and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. RPI finishes 19-9.
