SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) softball team opened their Liberty League slate with a bang, outscoring Skidmore College 10-2 over two games as the Engineers swept the Throughbreds by final scores of 4-0 and 6-2 Saturday afternoon. With the wins, RPI improves to 17-5 overall and 2-0 in league play while Skidmore falls to 7-14 overall and 0-2 in Liberty League action. The wins give RPI six wins in a row, and makes them winners in 16 of their last 17 games.
