Adam Petela is a New York State Registered Architect working in the Hudson Valley and Capital District with 14 years of design experience. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Binghamton University and a Master of Architecture degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Adam’s work focuses on commercial and hospitality spaces, multi-family rehabilitation work, and adaptive reuse projects. His commercial projects focus on innovative space planning solutions and user functionality. His hospitality spaces maximize employee convenience and a communal patron experience. Adam’s multifamily rehabilitation work is based primarily in low-income neighborhoods where developing quality homes for first time homebuyers is an integral part of community building.

Adam’s pedagogical approaches include a focus on verbal communication and an exploration of student’s emotions and life experiences in order to foster capable and mature adults. His design projects stem from explorations of art and music with close attention paid to the unseen or unheard.
