Join us for a powerful celebration of Garnet Douglass Baltimore, a pioneering civil engineer, member of the Rensselaer Alumni Hall of Fame, and the first African American graduate of RPI (Class of 1881). This special event will honor his enduring legacy with the unveiling of a New York State Historical Marker recognizing his remarkable contributions to engineering, landscape architecture, and the Troy community.
The Unveiling Ceremony will take place at 11-11:45 a.m. at The Approach, followed by a reception from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the Earl Chapel, Oakwood Cemetery. Connect with alumni, campus leaders, local officials, and community members as we toast the legacy of a true pioneer. Register here.
