TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's hockey team came out firing in its 2025–26 regular-season opener but was edged 5–3 by Miami University (Ohio)  tonight in Houston Field House. The Engineers built an early two-goal advantage before the RedHawks rallied with four unanswered tallies to escape with the road win.
