Engaging live-action choreographed sequences, as well as handcrafted layered animation, and face paced soundtrack, Beckman transforms the cultural norms communicated through common-place material such as fairytales and games. As part of the Department of Games and Experiential Media's "Gamefest" programming and Arts' iEar Presents, Beckman will give a talk on her work and the relationship between her art and games from 12pm-2pm on March 28 at EMPAC Theater.
