Engineering is often described as purely technical and objective, but engineering decisions are shaped by people—their experiences, identities, and assumptions about who engineers are and who engineering is for. In this seminar, I will introduce the core of my research agenda, engineering identity, or how individuals see themselves and how they believe others see them as engineers.
