A Non-Variational Quantum Approach to Solving Combinatorial Optimization Problems: Iterative-QAOA

Date: Thursday, March 5, 2026 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM - Quantum computers introduce new opportunities for modeling and solving decision problems. In this talk, we will first discuss the unique positioning of Industrial Engineering in the quantum research landscape that motivates new directions at the intersection of application and theory. Then as an example, we will present a new algorithm, Iterative-QAOA, for combinational optimization problems.
