The Rensselaer football program begins its 133rd season on Saturday, September 2, when it visits Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania for the first time ever. The contest will mark the first of ten games for the Engineers, who are led by 11th-year head coach Ralph Isernia.
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its annual All-Academic Teams, and Rensselaer's men's program was recognized, as were five student-athletes. The Engineers earned the accolades after posting a grade point average of 3.102.
Rensselaer women's ice hockey's Hannah Price '23 has been named as one of the three collegiate award recipients for 2023 by the Capital District Sports Women of the Year organization. Price will be recognized at the Capital District Sports Women of the Year Awards Gala on Monday, August 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the GE Theatre at Proctors in Schenectady. Liberty League commissioner Tracy King has announced that Rensselaer's Matt Lecky and Karson Saunders of Union College have been named the recipients of the 2022-23 Liberty League Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards. The awards are presented to graduating student-athletes who demonstrated excellence in academics, athletics and service/leadership during their time as student-athletes.

Seventy percent of them are being used for recreational purposes, and 30% of them are in the commercial industry.The Rensselaer men's and women's swimming teams were recently honored, as both squads earned College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America Division III Scholar All-America teams. Additionally, senior Alyssa Cahill for the women's team, as well as Matt Abraham, Michael Dowd, and Nick Stefanidis for the men's team, were individually named CSCAA Division III Scholar All-Americans.
Rensselaer's men's lacrosse team shone in the classroom this past spring, with the program earning its third consecutive USILA Team Scholar Award. Devon Boyko, Jon Matkin, Anthony Mazzella, Luke Murphy, and Garrett Volley were the five student-athletes who earned USILA Division III Scholar All-American honors.
