The Rensselaer men's cross country and track and field programs were recently recognized by the U. S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), as the Engineers finished the season ranked 13th in the organization's Division III Program of the Year award.

Rafael Cenzano '25, computer science major and president of the Epsilon Zeta chapter of Alpha Phi Omega at Rensselaer, shares some thoughts on the various services and events the chapter has made available to the community for the past 75 years, and the special service events they organized this spring to help celebrate this milestone.

The 2023 Liberty League Spring All-Academic Team has been announced, and 123 Rensselaer student-athletes were selected, representing the spring sports of baseball, softball, and golf, as well as men's and women's lacrosse, tennis, and track and field.

As has become an annual tradition, the Rensselaer athletic department's Let's Go Red! Golf Tournament was a competitive and enjoyable event, and which featured several repeat winners of the various contests. For the third straight year, the No. 1 overall team in the tournament consisted of Jeff Michaelson, Jeff Miner, Ben Rublee, and Ty Webb, who combined to shoot a 58 on the par-71, 6662-yard course in the scramble format.

For the second consecutive season and fifth time in his career, Rensselaer student-athlete Matt Lecky has been honored with a major year-end award by the Liberty League. The senior has been chosen as the Men's Outdoor Track & Field Track Performer of the Year, while the RPI coaching staff was also recognized for their  efforts.

The Liberty League has announced its year-end award winners in women's outdoor track and field, and Rensselaer student-athlete Emma McGuinn has been recognized as the Rookie of the Year. She is RPI's first women's outdoor Rookie of the Year since Aurora Freedman was chosen in 2016.
