Men's Track & Field Wins Liberty League Title
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Behind three victories and four runner-up finishes on the second day of the Liberty League Championship, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's track & field team edged the University of Rochester to win the title. The Engineers had 224 points to the 215 by the Yellowjackets. RIT was third with 172 points.
No. 33 Men's Tennis Beaten in NCAA 2nd Round
TOWSON, Md. - The 10th-ranked Johns Hopkins men's tennis team beat 33rd-ranked Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), 5-0, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Jays improve to 19-4 on the season and advance to the NCAA Sweet 16. The Engineers are now 14-7.
Baseball Splits Crossover Saturday With Ithaca
TROY, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) baseball team came through with a 5-4 victory after a lopsided 14-0 loss in Game 1 of the day against the Ithaca Bombers in the Liberty League Crossover Weekend on Saturday afternoon at Robison Field. Both squads will now play a third and deciding game on Sunday afternoon at 12 p.m.
No. 18 Men’s Lax Falls in League Semis to Union
TROY, N.Y. – Union College goalkeeper Dan Donahue made 21 saves on 31 shots on goal as the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's lacrosse team fell to the Dutchmen by a final score of 13-10 at ECAV Stadium Friday evening in the Liberty League Semifinals. RPI moves to 9-7 overall on the season, while Union improves to 11-5 overall.
