Prof. Yael Erel Recognized at [d]arc Awards 2022

Assistant Professor Yael Erel has been awarded second place in the annual [d]arc awards for her lighting installation "Reflecting on Troy." This project, created in collaboration with her partner Avner Ben Natan, was recognized in the Art – Low Budget Category and was one of six artist projects selected, commissioned, produced, and funded by the Arts Center of the Capital Region through the inaugural Troy Glow light festival.

EMPAC Receives Funding from Teiger Foundation for Shifting Center

Exhibition installed throughout and beyond the EMPAC building opens to the public in Fall 2023 EMPAC/ the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center at Rensselaer received a $75,000 grant from Teiger Foundation for the exhibition Shifting Center (October 28–November 19, 2023), which is curated by Vic Brooks, Associate Director and Senior Curator of Time-Based Visual Art, and Nida Ghouse, Curator-in-Residence.
