Men’s Golf Third at Tim Brown Invitational
BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. – Senior Thomas Fraser shot a 69 in the opening round of the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational to lead the No. 17 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) golf team to a T-3rd finish of 19 teams after the events first day. The event is hosted by Skidmore College at the Ballston Spa Country Club.
Women’s Tennis Edged by Skidmore
TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team had a five-match win streak snapped on Saturday afternoon, as they were edged out by No. 29 Skidmore by a 5-4 final score at Tri-City Fitness.
No. 30 Men's Tennis Posts 7-2 Win Skidmore
TROY, N.Y. - In a Liberty League matchup between nationally-ranked teams, the No. 30 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team defeated No. 29 Skidmore College 7-2 at Sharp Courts. RPI improves to 6-5 overall and 2-1 in the conference, while the Thoroughbreds drop to 7-6 and 4-1.
Men's Track & Field is Second in Tri-Meet
TROY, N.Y. - In a tri-meet with Bates College and Tufts University at Harkness Track & Field, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's team had six winners and nine runner-ups in finishing second on the day. Tufts won with 74 points with the Engineers earning 69 and the Bobcats collecting 49.
Women's Track & Field Has 7 Wins; 3 Seconds
TROY, N.Y. - Christine Mallette won two events and five others were also victorious for the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's track & field team, which competed against Bates College and Tufts University in a tri-meet at Harkness Track & Field. Tufts won the meet with 86 points, followed by RPI (66) and Bates (47).
Women’s Lacrosse Drops Bard, 23-3
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's lacrosse team scored 11 times in the opening 15 minutes of the game en route to a 23-3 victory over Bard College Saturday afternoon. The 23 goals are the most scored in a game since April 30, 1994 when RPI defeated Clarkson 25-1 to conclude their season.
