ORLANDO, Fla. - After winning two doubles matches, the Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team won three of the first four singles decisions to defeat Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) 6-3 in a non-league match at the USTA National Tennis Center. CMU, which is ranked No. 11 in Division III, improves to 9-3 while the Engineers fall to 5-2.

TROY, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) Athletics Hall of Fame Selection Committee has chosen four former student-athletes for induction into the Athletics Hall of Fame. The Class of 2023 consists of Allie Arnal '13 (lacrosse), Gerry Bushey '68 (soccer & lacrosse), Andrew Franks '15 (football), and Sarah Wetmore '12 (basketball).

Justin Den Herder, PE promoted to Principal at Silman

Justin Den Herder, PE has been promoted to the position of Principal at the structural engineering firm Silman. Justin teaches structural engineering courses at Rensselaer Architecture.

Justin Den Herder joined Silman in 2007. As Principal, Justin is a thought leader focused on design innovation. As co-leader of a studio, he oversees new construction, renovation, and historic preservation projects of varying scales and materials.

AUBURNDALE, Fla. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) baseball team scored six runs in the sixth inning for the second straight game as the Engineers defeated the Gwynedd Mercy University Griffins by a final score of 13-0 in seven innings. TROY, N.Y. – Having exhausted his collegiate eligibility, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete Kyle Hallbauer has signed with the Adirondack Thunder of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL), it has been announced. A graduate student, he captained the Engineers in the 2022-23 season.
