Every Day Matters: Understanding Human and Artificial Intelligence: Tyler Malloy

The Artificial Intelligence Research Collaboration (AIRC) is a joint venture between Rensselaer and IBM working to advance the science of artificial intelligence (AI) through a series of research projects. Tyler Malloy, who recently graduated from Rensselaer with a Ph.D. in cognitive science, was a member of the AIRC and focused his research on improving methods in an area of machine learning called reinforcement learning algorithms by integrating his expertise in human cognition.

Price Nominated for Hockey Humanitarian Award

The Hockey Humanitarian Award Foundation recently announced its nominees for the 2023 Hockey Humanitarian Award, and Rensselaer student-athlete Hannah Price has been selected as one of 15 across NCAA Division I men's and women's hockey. The award is presented annually to a college hockey student-athlete who makes significant contributions not only to his or her team but also to the community-at-large through leadership in volunteerism.
