The Rensselaer Astrobiology Research and Education (RARE) Center is pleased to share that high school student Stella has been selected for the highly competitive NASA STEM Enhancement in Earth Science (SEES) internship program. Stella was selected for the in-person planetary geology internship and will spend two weeks this summer at The University of Texas at Austin before continuing the remainder of the program online. Congratulations to Stella on this exciting achievement and opportunity in planetary science research.

The Rensselaer Astrobiology Research and Education (RARE) Center is proud to congratulate local high school student Makaila on winning First Place in the Earth and Environmental Sciences category at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Phoenix, Arizona. Her project, “Investigating the Stability of Prebiotic Uracil Under the Conditions of Impact-Generated Terrestrial Hydrothermal Systems,” earned a $6,000 award and reflects two summers of research conducted in the RARE laboratories under the mentorship of Dr. Meri Herrero, Dr.

TROY, N.Y. — The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis program was recognized in the Liberty League's postseason awards announced today, capping a historic spring in which the Engineers captured the program's first-ever Liberty League Championship, earned their first NCAA Tournament appearance, and secured the first NCAA victory in program history with an opening-round win over Allegheny. In addition, Head Coach Justin Roe and his staff were named the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year.

TROY, N.Y. — The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis program earned multiple postseason recognitions as the Liberty League announced its annual awards today, led by Tsubasa Okada receiving All-Liberty League First Team honors in singles. Okada also teamed with Tasmay Shah to collect All-Liberty League Second Team recognition in doubles, while Shah added a Second Team selection in singles.
