RARE High School Student Advances to International Science and Engineering Fair

The Rensselaer Astrobiology Research and Education (RARE) Center congratulates a local high school student, Mikaila, on being named a finalist for the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in May 2026. After earning first place at the Westchester Science & Engineering Fair and recognition from the Association for Women Geoscientists, she will present research conducted over two summers at the RARE Center.

Math Colloquium: Miguel Morales from Flatiron Institute

Date: Wednesday, March 25, 2026 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM - This Mathematical Sciences Colloquium will feature a presentation titled "Ab-Initio Quantum Embedding" by Dr. Miguel Morales. He is a Research Scientist at the Center for Computational Quantum Physics, Flatiron Institute. His research is focused on the development, implementation, and application of quantum Monte Carlo methods for the study of quantum many-body problems.

The Center for Architecture Science and Ecology Announces $25K Seed Grant

CASE is an institute wide research center designing, developing and translating next generation technology for a healthy and resilient built environment. This $25,000 grant will directly support a 1 year research project to address the research goals designated by CASE: Climate Adaptation, Circular Economies, Environmental Intelligence and Planetary Health. The grant is designed to foster interdisciplinary and cross-institution collaboration and enhance competitiveness for external funding.
