TOPOS presents Persepolis: Troy 2025 by Iannis Xenakis x Micah Silver | Aug. 29

Date: Friday, August 29, 2025 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM - Experience a seminal work of 20th-century sound art—reframed as an immersive 55-minute installation-performance. Composed in 1971 for a ritual performance amid the ruins of the ancient city of Persepolis, Iran, this eight-channel work invoked fire, movement, and night sky as a sonic act of resistance. At EMPAC, it resounds in a different kind of temple—one built not to glorify power, but to listen.

Date: Friday, August 29, 2025 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM - TOPOS is proud to present the world premiere of a newly commissioned work by Sarah Davachi, a leading voice in contemporary experimental music. The Rose Dialogues, scored for two violas, cello, organ, and electronics, begins with the canon form and unfolds into an expansive exploration of harmony, resonance, and temporal suspension. Davachi’s music doesn’t declare itself; it reveals itself. If you follow her work, you already know: these moments don’t come often, and they don’t repeat. Be there.
