RPI Student-Athletes Shine in the Classroom this Spring Semester

TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) athletics department continued its tradition of academic excellence during the Spring 2025 semester. RPI student-athletes posted a collective 3.24 term grade point average, with all 23 programs eclipsing a 3.0 team GPA. A total of 72 undergraduate and graduate student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA for the term.

Leandro Piazzi awarded the Architectural League Prize for Young Architects + Designers

Leandro Piazzi, Lecturer, of BALSA CROSETTO PIAZZI has been awarded the Architectural League Prize for Young Architects and Designers, along with his partners Juan Manuel Balsa and Rocío Crosetto Brizzio. From The Architecture League NY: Established in 1981, the Architectural League Prize for Young Architects + Designers is a biennial juried portfolio competition for early-career practitioners in North America, organized around a theme. BALSA CROSETTO PIAZZI is an architecture firm based in the United States and Argentina.

Aiden Drover-Mattinen Receives Prestigious Academic All-American Honors

AUSTIN, TX – Senior Aiden Drover-Mattinen of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team has been named to the 2024–25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® Third Team, announced Tuesday afternoon. The honor recognizes outstanding achievement in both athletic competition and academic performance at the NCAA Division III level.

Oehlschlaeger and Krishnappa Honored on ABCA/Rawlings and D3Baseball.com Postseason Awards Lists

TROY, N.Y. – Ian Oehlschlaeger and Ayush Krishnappa of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) baseball team have earned prestigious postseason honors from both American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings and D3baseball.com, following standout 2025 campaigns. The pair were named First Team All-Region by both organizations, while Oehlschlaeger earned All-America honors from each, including a Second Team selection by ABCA/Rawlings and a Third Team nod from D3baseball.com.
