HR Announces Professional Development Book Discussion Series, "Everyday People, Extraordinary Leadership"

The premise of this book is quite simple: Leadership is a learnable set of actions and behaviors that is available to everyone. This virtual book discussion, which is scheduled to be held from 1:00PM to 2:30PM on Friday, November 22, will explore the five practices of exemplary leadership that are detailed, and participants will share their reactions to the book's themes.

Division of Human Resources Professional Development Workshop: "4 Steps to Effective Communication: Extended DISC"

In this workshop, participants will receive individualized Extended DISC reports (based on the completion of the Extended DISC questionnaire) that reflect both their “natural” and "adjusted” behavioral styles and learn strategies which promote successful interactions with others.

CDPHP Nurse and Member Services Consultations

The Division of Human Resources and our partners at CDPHP, Inc. know how important it is to provide you with opportunities and support in answering questions about your health and medical plan benefits. On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, faculty and staff enrolled in Rensselaer's medical plans with CDPHP can meet with our dedicated nurse and/or a member services representative in person at the Heffner Alumni House from 12pm to 3pm. Registration is required.

Division of Human Resources Professional Development Workshop: "Leading Virtually"

Virtual and remote work creates both challenges and opportunities to work as a cohesive team focused on achieving results. This seminar explores the fundamentals of Rensselaer’s Flexible Work Program, teaches leaders how to communicate more effectively in a virtual environment, focus their team by keeping team members and their goals visible and in sight and enhance trust among members separated by time and/or distance.

HR to Present "Helping Families Eat Healthier" Brunch with Benefits

The Division of Human Resources is pleased to present its next virtual Brunch with Benefits session 11:00 a.m. to noon on Thursday, August 22. Led by Registered Dietitian Lindsey Cumoletti, August's session will focus on “Helping Families Eat Healthier;” CDPHP representatives from will also be available to answer any questions related to the health plan.
