2026 Founders Award of Excellence Nominations Due
Date: Saturday, August 29, 2026 (all day) - The Founders Award of Excellence was established in 1994 to honor students who embody the qualities of creativity, discovery, and leadership, and the values of pride and responsibility. The award includes a cash prize, a special certificate, and recognition by faculty, staff, and peers at the Honors Convocation ceremony. Nominations should be submitted via our Qualtrics Form (available in link) no later than Saturday, August 29.
Leadercamp: The 12 Lifetraps Hindering Your Impact
Discover the hidden patterns that can limit confidence, relationships, decision-making, and leadership effectiveness. In this Leadercamp, participants will explore the lifetraps that quietly shape behavior and learn how to recognize when old patterns are getting in the way of present-day impact. The session will offer practical tools for increasing self-awareness, breaking unhelpful cycles, and leading with greater clarity and intention.
Rensselaer Faculty and Staff Quick Learn Webinar - Ways to Engage Students with Reading Assignments and Micro Video Lectures
Date: Wednesday, August 26, 2026 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM - Assigning reading assignments and micro video lectures prior to class is always a great option to allow students to gather initial knowledge. This session will review some tips on how we can engage and motivate the students through these readings or video lectures to guide them in pulling out the important details/understandings.
