Rensselaer Faculty and Staff In Person Workshop - Deeper Dive into the Active Learning Approaches of Jigsaw, Think/Pair/Share, & Visual Maps

Date: Wednesday, April 1, 2026 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM - In this workshop, we will focus on the three active learning concepts of the Jigsaw activity, Think/Pair/Share and working with Visual Maps/Charts. We will spend some time on each of these 3 approaches, discussing the concept of each and looking at examples to help you think about how you might be able to incorporate the approach into your class. Date: Thursday, March 26, 2026 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM - As a manager, you play a central role in guiding the performance process for your employees. This workshop introduces the core principles of performance coaching, including how to identify and evaluate performance gaps, set effective goals, and lead the RPI MAX performance process. Participants will also explore practical tools for building strong, high‑performing teams.

Division of Human Resources Workshop: RPI MAX for Staff: Leveraging Feedback and Career Opportunities

Date: Thursday, March 26, 2026 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM - As an employee, you work in partnership with your manager to align expectations and set meaningful goals. Throughout the year, you check in together, recalibrate as needed, and celebrate progress and achievements. This workshop focuses on supporting your individual career development, preparing for the annual manager evaluation, setting effective goals, and using tools that can help you advance your career.

The Center for Architecture Science and Ecology Announces $25K Seed Grant

CASE is an institute wide research center designing, developing and translating next generation technology for a healthy and resilient built environment. This $25,000 grant will directly support a 1 year research project to address the research goals designated by CASE: Climate Adaptation, Circular Economies, Environmental Intelligence and Planetary Health. The grant is designed to foster interdisciplinary and cross-institution collaboration and enhance competitiveness for external funding.

Training: Handshake for Faculty/Staff
