CEE Seminar Series - Dr. Takatoshi Kiriyama Senior Researcher and Manager Geotechnical & Foundation Group – Shimizu Corporation

Date: Wednesday, January 28, 2026 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM - “Physical and numerical modeling of geomaterial in practical construction”. Understanding deformation and failure of geomaterials under foundation loading remains a key challenge in geotechnical engineering. This seminar aims to bridge the gap between physical observations and numerical predictions from a practical engineering viewpoint by presenting geomaterial and foundation related research using both approaches.
