Transcending Gender exhibit at Folsom Library | Through April 1

Wednesday, March 12, 2025 - Tue , April 1, 2025 (all day) - This exhibit examines ways that gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation intersect. Materials provided by the Stonewall National Museum, Archives, and Library with the generous support of Jason Hagopian '91, '92, the RAA, and Folsom Library staff. Celebrate the collaboration between the Rensselaer Orchestra and the Empire State Youth Orchestra as they perform side-by-side April 5th at 2pm in EMPAC Concert Hall. This spring program includes the breathtaking 'Elysium' by Samy Moussa, the famous 'Symphonie Fantastique' by Hector Berlioz, and the evocative Oboe Concerto by Thomas L. Read, featuring 2024 Rensselaer Concerto Competition winner Gianna Scire, '25 as soloist.

This event will be a live webinar about “Truths and Myths of Self-Driving Car Safety.” It will be presented beginning at 7 p.m. EST by alumnus Philip Koopman ’82G. Professor Koopman is an internationally recognized expert on Autonomous Vehicle (AV) safety whose work in that area spans over 25 years. He has been involved with AV policy and standards as well as more general embedded system design and software quality.
