His research focuses on formal verification of probabilistic programs and quantitative programs. His work has been recognized by the EATCS Presburger Award, a Royal Society Wolfson Visiting Fellowship, a NSF CAREER award, a SIGPLAN John C. Reynolds Doctoral Dissertation award, distinguished paper awards from POPL and CAV, and industrial awards from Facebook.

Rensselaer Architecture continues its fall 2025 lecture series Wednesday, October 29 at 5p.m. est with the lecture “Tools of Imagination” by Michael Hansmeyer.
Michael Hansmeyer is an architect and programmer who explores the use of algorithms to generate and fabricate architectural form.
Webinar: RPI Digital Asset Management (DAM) System | Oct. 30
Jim Evans, Director of MultiMedia Services, will present an overview of Rensselaer’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) System on Thursday October 30, from 11am-Noon. This webinar, hosted via webex, will include how to search, download, and manage campus-wide multimedia assets and will include a live demonstration and Q&A.

Men's Hockey Takes #20 Minnesota State to Brink
MANKATO, Minn. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's hockey team turned in a determined defensive effort on Saturday night, but a pair of power-play goals allowed No. 20 Minnesota State, Mankato to edged the Engineers, 2–1, at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center tonight.

TROY, NY - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's swimming and diving team earned a 173–96 dual meet victory over SUNY Oneonta today at Robison Pool, sweeping first-place finishes in 13 of 14 swimming events.
RPI Sweeps Oneonta in Home Opener
TROY, NY - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's swimming and diving team delivered a commanding performance at Robison Pool this afternoon, defeating SUNY Oneonta 182–71 in the team's home opener. The Engineers swept all 16 events and saw standout performances across the board, including multiple collegiate-first wins and an NCAA qualifying standard on the diving board.
