As part of the lively experimental music and performance downtown scene of the 80’s, Ericka Beckman has made acclaimed works across Super-8mm, 16mm, and expanded cinema formats since the 1980’s. Engaging live-action choreographed sequences, as well as handcrafted layered animation, and face paced soundtrack, Beckman transforms the cultural norms communicated through common-place material such as fairytales and games.

Softball Registers Sweep at Oneonta

ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) softball team swept a non-league doubleheader at Oneonta on Thursday afternoon at Red Dragon Stadium, earning a 3-1 win in the opener before holding off a late push for a 5-4 victory in a weather-shortened game two.

RARE High School Student Advances to International Science and Engineering Fair

The Rensselaer Astrobiology Research and Education (RARE) Center congratulates a local high school student, Mikaila, on being named a finalist for the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in May 2026. After earning first place at the Westchester Science & Engineering Fair and recognition from the Association for Women Geoscientists, she will present research conducted over two summers at the RARE Center.
