Division of Human Resources Professional Development Seminar: Supervisory Essentials

In this seminar, Managers and Supervisors will learn from each other and our Facilitators about important topics such as the Employee Value Proposition and Employee Experience, the six fundamental Leadership competencies at Rensselaer, and experience several “Supervisory Simulations” with colleagues. In addition, the importance of coaching employee performance, providing both rewards and recognition, employment law fundamentals and tools for building team capacity will be explored.

Human Resources Schedules “4 Steps to Effective Communication: Extended DISC” Professional Development Workshop

Date: Thursday, February 6, 2025 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM - Our success, both personally and professionally, is largely determined by our ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people. In this workshop, participants will receive individualized Extended DISC reports (based on the completion of the Extended DISC questionnaire) that reflect both their “natural” and “adjusted” behavioral styles and learn strategies which promote successful interactions with others.

Starting 02/12/2025, RPI managed computers will lock after an activity time out of 15 minutes. Devices unused for 15 minutes will be locked requiring your login password to unlock. This measure complies with data privacy regulations to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive information if an individual leaves their computer unattended, ensuring that only the authorized individual can access the system by requiring a password to log back in after the inactivity period.
